One person was killed following a rollover crash on State Route 94 near Massachusetts Avenue in Lemon Grove early Friday morning, April 4, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just after 5:00 a.m. on westbound SR-94 near the Massachusetts Avenue exit.
The crash initially reported as a two-vehicle collision, resulted in one of the vehicles overturning and coming to rest on its side, trapping one person inside.
Emergency responders confirmed that the trapped individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash forced the closure of multiple westbound lanes during the morning commute as authorities conducted their investigation.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
