[03-29-2025] Olivehurst Teen Killed in Rollover Crash on Highway 70 Near Feather River BoulevardA 14-year-old boy from Olivehurst was killed in a rollover crash on Highway 70, north of Feather River Boulevard, in unincorporated Yuba County on Saturday afternoon, March 29, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at approximately 3:35 p.m.

The incident occurred when the driver of a Honda Pilot lost control after a nearby vehicle made an unsafe lane change. The Honda Pilot traveled approximately 50 feet down an embankment and overturned.

The occupants of the vehicle included a 53-year-old man, a 47-year-old woman, and the 14-year-old boy, all from Olivehurst.

The teenager was found unresponsive by first responders and was transported to Adventist Health and Rideout Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities believe the vehicle that caused the crash may have been a silver or white SUV with stickers on its back window.

It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
