[03-29-2025] Two Killed, Several Injured in Suspected DUI Crash at Temperance and Belmont AvenuesTwo 19-year-olds were killed, and several others were injured following a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Temperance and Belmont Avenues in Fresno County on Saturday night, March 29, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 10 p.m. when an 18-year-old driving a Dodge Charger southbound on Temperance Avenue at a high rate of speed collided with the left rear of a Toyota Camry that was stopped at the intersection’s stop sign.

The Dodge continued to travel out of control and eventually struck a Chevrolet Tahoe traveling northbound on Temperance Avenue.

The Dodge and Tahoe came to a rest, blocking the intersection. Officers from the Clovis Police Department provided medical aid until EMS arrived.

Two 19-year-olds inside the Dodge were pronounced dead at the scene. A 20-year-old passenger sustained critical injuries, while a fourth passenger suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Dodge, identified as Luis F. of Fresno, sustained major injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center. Authorities suspect he was driving under the influence of alcohol.

The driver and a woman in the Chevrolet sustained moderate injuries. Three minor passengers in the Chevrolet, ages 9, 4, and 1, suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Toyota also sustained minor injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
