A pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash in Los Angeles‘ Koreatown neighborhood early Friday morning, March 27, 2026.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash was reported just before 4 a.m. at the intersection of Leeward Avenue and South Vermont Avenue.
Witnesses reported seeing a white Dodge Charger hit the victim as he was crossing the street. The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle fled northbound on Vermont Avenue and failed to stop to render aid. No description of the driver is available, and the suspect remains at large.
The investigation is ongoing.
