Three adults and three children were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Indio on Wednesday evening, March 25, 2026.
According to the Indio Police Department, officers responded shortly after 7:30 p.m. to the intersection of Indio Boulevard and Avenue 48. The crash involved a Toyota Sienna and a Ford Fusion, leaving both vehicles with major damage.
The driver of the Toyota, identified only as an adult woman, was taken to a local hospital for precautionary evaluation. A rear-seat passenger, an 11-year-old boy, was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs and listed in stable condition.
The driver, a female front passenger, a 14-year-old girl, and a 16-year-old boy, all inside the Toyota, were taken to a local hospital by ambulance for precautionary evaluation.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, but authorities said DUI does not appear to be a factor.
The investigation is ongoing.
