[03-21-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – 17-Year-Old Killed, Semi-Truck Driver Hospitalized in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Adelanto

A 17-year-old boy, identified as Michael Z., was killed in a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck in Adelanto on Friday night, March 20, 2026.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred just before 11:00 p.m. on Highway 395 when the boy, driving a Dodge, veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a semi-truck and another vehicle.

The boy was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.

The driver of the semi-truck was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, though their condition has not been released. Occupants of the third vehicle involved were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
