One person was killed following a two-vehicle crash on the northbound Orange (57) Freeway in Placentia early Thursday morning, March 20, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:05 a.m. near Orangethorpe Avenue.
The collision involved a white van and a white work truck, with at least one of the vehicles overturning onto its roof.
Authorities temporarily closed multiple lanes of the freeway while emergency crews responded to the scene. All lanes were reopened by 6:10 a.m.
The identity of the deceased has not been released. Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash.
