A bicyclist was struck and killed by a car in Sacramento on Tuesday evening, March 18, 2025.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, officers responded to the scene just after 7:45 p.m. near Fruitridge Road and Ethel Avenue, where the cyclist was declared dead.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Sacramento police stated that alcohol or drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released, pending notification of the family by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
