A driver was killed, and a 24-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a head-on collision on Manning Avenue in Fresno County on Tuesday afternoon, March 18, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Manning Avenue when it crossed into the eastbound lane and crashed into a semi-truck.
The impact caused the Honda to catch fire, engulfing the vehicle. Due to the fire, authorities have not yet identified the driver of the Honda.
The crash also sparked a two-acre grass fire, which Cal Fire crews quickly extinguished.
The semi-truck, an empty cattle hauler, was traveling at 45 mph at the time of the crash. The speed of the Honda remains undetermined.
No other individuals were involved in the incident. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
