A multi-vehicle crash involving a big rig caused significant traffic disruptions on westbound Interstate 80 near Soda Springs, Nevada County, on Friday afternoon, March 13, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene around 3:45 p.m. near the Soda Springs exit.
The CHP traffic logs indicate that the crash resulted in blocked lanes, with only one westbound lane remaining open as of 4:32 p.m.
It remains unclear whether any injuries were sustained in the crash. However, medics were requested at the scene.
