Four people were injured after a vehicle skidded and overturned off eastbound Interstate 8 in Imperial County, on Tuesday evening, March 11, 2025.
According to authorities, the accident occurred around 6:40 p.m., approximately a quarter mile west of Mt. Springs Road. The vehicle reportedly lost control on the slick roadway, ran off the highway, and traveled about 200 feet down an embankment before coming to rest on its roof.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and one of the injured victims was airlifted by REACH Air Ambulance for further treatment. One freeway lane was closed while responders assisted at the crash site.
The accident remains under investigation.
