[03-09-2026] Orange County, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Buena Park

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Buena Park, early Monday morning, March 9, 2026.

According to the Buena Park Police Department, officers responded to the crash at around 1:55 a.m. at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Artesia Boulevard, where they found the pedestrian down in the roadway.

The pedestrian was transported to UCI Medical Center but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Further information about the victim has not yet been released.

Investigators determined that the pedestrian was struck by a white Kia sedan. The vehicle was later found unoccupied with damage consistent with a collision on Valley View Street near Chapman Avenue in Garden Grove, approximately seven miles south of the crash scene.

The driver fled the scene, and authorities are actively searching for them. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
