One person was killed, and another was hospitalized following a head-on crash in Visalia on Sunday afternoon, March 9, 2025.
According to the Visalia Police Department, officers responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m. on Goshen Avenue between Demaree Street and Mooney Boulevard.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered a crash involving a Nissan Altima and a Toyota Tacoma.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the Nissan driver was traveling eastbound when they crossed the double yellow line and collided head-on with the westbound Toyota Tacoma.
The Nissan driver was transported to a hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to their injuries. Meanwhile, the Toyota Tacoma driver was also taken to a hospital for treatment. Their condition remains unknown.
It is currently unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Authorities are continuing their investigation.
