[03-08-2026] Inyo County, CA – 50-Year-Old Man Killed in Solo Vehicle Roll-Over Crash on US-395

A 50-year-old man was fatally injured in a solo vehicle rollover crash in the Bishop area in Inyo County on Sunday evening, March 8, 2026.

According to the Bishop CHP, the crash occurred at around 6:04 p.m. when a 57-year-old man was driving a 2002 GMC Sierra northbound on US-395, south of Gorge Road. 

For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over. The passenger, a 50-year-old male, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.

The driver was arrested and booked into Inyo County Jail on felony charges. Alcohol and excessive speed are suspected factors in the crash.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
