A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash in San Marcos on Saturday night, March 8, 2025.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and San Marcos Fire Department personnel responded to the scene at approximately 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Rancho Santa Fe Road and Lake San Marcos Drive.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found the injured motorcyclist lying in the roadway. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their identity has not yet been released.
Authorities are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a vehicle that may have been involved. The vehicle is described as a newer model white sedan that might have driver-side damage.
The sheriff’s department is actively investigating the incident.
