[03-07-2026] Sacramento County, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Norwood Ave. and Jessie Ave.

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in north Sacramento on Saturday evening, March 7, 2026.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the incident occurred at around 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Norwood Avenue and Jessie Avenue.

Officers reported finding a man lying in the street. Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but fire crews pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police reported that two vehicles were involved in the collision, but only one driver remained at the scene. The other driver fled, and no vehicle description has been released.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once his family has been notified. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
