A 46-year-old man from Greenbrae was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in San Rafael on Friday night, March 7, 2025.
According to the San Rafael Police Department, officers responded to reports of a man lying in the roadway near Redwood Highway and Marin Center Drive at approximately 10:36 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim with severe injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts by officers and San Rafael Fire Department paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation is ongoing.
