[03-01-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – One Person Killed in Crash on Golden State Freeway Off-Ramp in Burbank

One person was killed in a crash on the Empire Avenue off-ramp from the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway in Burbank on Sunday night, March 1, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported at around 10:23 p.m. on the off-ramp. 

Authorities have not released extensive details, but confirmed that at least one vehicle was involved.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A news videographer at the location reported that the victim was a pedestrian.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
