A chain-reaction crash involving multiple big rigs occurred on Interstate 5 at the State Route 14 interchange in Los Angeles County on Tuesday evening, February 17, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 7:40 p.m., when a semi-truck lost control, leaving significant debris across the traffic lanes.
A second semi-truck then collided with the debris, leading to a second crash. Two additional big rigs were able to stop in time, avoiding further collisions. However, a fifth big rig could not stop and struck the fourth truck, which then collided with the third.
Despite the multiple collisions, no major injuries were reported, and no individuals were transported to the hospital.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
