[02-14-2025] San Diego County, CA – Major Injury Reported After Two-Vehicle Crash on South Mission Road

A two-vehicle collision occurred on South Mission Road near the 2700 block, between Quail Knoll and Overland Trail, in San Diego County, on Friday morning, February 14, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at 8:35 a.m., and initially classified as a collision with unknown injuries. By 8:46 a.m., it was upgraded to a major injury crash, prompting a response from medical personnel.

A passerby assisted an elderly individual and a child out of one of the vehicles. Both appeared uninjured at the scene.

Authorities requested two tow trucks from S&R Towing at 8:48 a.m. to remove the involved vehicles. Officers arrived shortly after to manage traffic and assess the situation.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no further details are currently available.
