A crash involving a school bus in Madera County left two students with minor injuries on Thursday morning, February 13, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 7:20 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue 12 and Road 32.
The school bus, from Golden Valley Unified School District, was carrying 29 students and was stopped at a stop sign, preparing to turn onto eastbound Avenue 12 when the crash happened.
Authorities stated that a big rig collided with an SUV, which then crashed into the left side of the school bus. An 18-year-old and a 16-year-old student were transported to Valley Children’s Hospital with complaints of pain.
CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
