A traffic collision involving a stalled vehicle blocked all lanes on the northbound Interstate 15 south of Mission Road in Fallbrook, San Diego County, on late Thursday night, February 12, 2026.
The incident, reported at around 10:55 p.m., prompted a response from the North County Fire Protection District (NCFPD) and the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Initial reports indicated that a “blacked-out” vehicle was stalled in the lanes prior to the collision. The crash involved a white van with moderate rear-end damage and a white Toyota sedan.
Emergency crews from NCFPD, including engines E114 and E115 and the medic unit M114, responded to the scene. By 11:16 p.m., all lanes were closed to manage the scene and clear debris. Officers used the center divider to access the area and manage traffic flow.
Tow trucks, including Adams Towing, were requested to remove the vehicles. By 11:27 p.m., all lanes were reopened.
The crash resulted in injuries of unknown severity, and the cause remains under investigation.
