[02-12-2026] Contra Costa County, CA – Two Women in Critical Condition After Car Crash in Antioch

A 21-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl are in critical condition following a single-car crash in Antioch early Thursday morning, February 12, 2026.

The crash occurred at around 1:15 a.m. in the area of Lone Tree Way and Dallas Ranch Road. 

According to Antioch Police Lieutenant Michael Mellone, the 17-year-old was driving the vehicle when it crashed, leaving both occupants trapped inside.

Emergency personnel used life-saving measures to extricate the women and transport them to a hospital. Both sustained major injuries, with one having life-threatening injuries; however, police did not specify which of the two was in the more critical condition.

The preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol and speeding may have played a role in the crash.
