A wrong-way driver was killed in a head-on collision in Irvine early Monday morning, February 10, 2025.
According to authorities, the crash happened around 1:35 a.m. on Jamboree Road, south of Warner Avenue.
A man driving a Hyundai Elantra was traveling south in the northbound lanes of Jamboree Road when he collided head-on with another vehicle.
The Hyundai’s driver was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His identity has not yet been released.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
