A 51-year-old man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash in Hayward on Tuesday morning, February 4, 2025.
According to authorities, the pedestrian was hit by a white, medium-sized SUV near the intersection of Hesperian Boulevard and Sueirro Street. The vehicle fled the scene, heading southbound on Hesperian Boulevard.
Emergency responders arrived shortly before 8:00 a.m. and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
No arrests have been made, and the suspect remains at large. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to contact the Hayward Police Department’s traffic bureau at (510) 293-7066.
The investigation is ongoing.
