A man was fatally struck by a vehicle on the Highway 99 on-ramp from Yosemite Parkway in Merced on Monday night, February 3, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 9:00 p.m. when the pedestrian walked into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead.
The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
