[01-31-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle on Hook Blvd. in Victorville

A male pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Victorville on Saturday evening, January 31, 2026.

According to authorities, the incident was reported at around 6:49 p.m. in the 17000 block of Hook Boulevard, across from High Desert Church and Hook Park. 

Preliminary reports indicated that the pedestrian had been walking from the direction of High Desert Church when a white 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan struck him. Witnesses at the scene attempted to provide first aid before emergency personnel arrived.

Victorville City Fire Department crews responded and confirmed that the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities reported that the victim’s body was found partially on the sidewalk near the entrance to the Hook Park parking lot.

The identity of the deceased has not been released and will be provided by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin.

Officials stated that the vehicle sustained visible damage to the front passenger side and hood. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with deputies.

The investigation remains ongoing.
