[01-30-2026] Fresno County, CA – Four Hospitalized After Traffic Collision at Shaw and Armstrong Ave. in Clovis

Four people were taken to a hospital after a traffic collision caused by a distracted driver in Clovis on Friday night, January 30, 2026.

According to the Clovis Police Department, the crash occurred at around 9:00 p.m. near the intersection of Shaw Avenue and Armstrong Avenue. 

Investigators said a Subaru traveling eastbound on Shaw Avenue went through a red light while the driver was distracted by a GPS device.

Police stated that the Subaru collided with a Chevrolet that was traveling through the intersection on a green light along Armstrong Avenue. The Chevrolet was occupied by a woman and three children. 

After the initial impact, the Chevrolet struck another vehicle in the intersection.

Authorities reported that the Subaru continued after the collision, crashing through a brick wall before coming to rest in a nearby homeowner’s backyard.

The four occupants of the Chevrolet were transported to a hospital for treatment. The identities of those involved have not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
