[01-25-2026] Orange County, CA – Pregnant Woman Killed in Suspected DUI Crash in Anaheim

A pregnant woman was killed in a suspected DUI-related collision in Anaheim early Sunday morning, January 25, 2026.

According to the Anaheim Police Department, the crash occurred around 12:10 a.m. at the intersection of North Anaheim Boulevard and the State Route 91 frontage road.

Authorities stated that a Toyota four-door sedan traveling southbound was struck by an eastbound Lexus sedan that failed to stop at a red light. The pregnant woman, who was a passenger in the Toyota, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified the Lexus driver as 24-year-old Daniel R. of Riverside, who was arrested after officers observed signs and symptoms of impairment. He was booked into the Anaheim Detention Facility. 

Officials said the driver of the Toyota and two passengers in the Lexus were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The identity of the victim and details regarding her pregnancy were not released.

The Anaheim Police Department is continuing to investigate the crash.
