Two people were killed in a two-vehicle collision in the Lake Los Angeles area in Los Angeles County on Saturday evening, January 25, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:10 p.m. at the intersection of 170th Street East and Rawhide Avenue.
The driver and a passenger in one of the vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities reported that the occupants of the second vehicle fled the scene on foot before law enforcement arrived.
The CHP is actively investigating the incident and searching for the individuals who fled.
