At least one person was killed and another was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash that shut down a stretch of Adobe Road west of Petaluma in Sonoma County, early Friday morning, January 23, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly before 5:50 a.m. near the intersection of Adobe Road and Frates Road.
Authorities said multiple vehicles were involved, including a red Tesla and a blue Honda CR-V, which were left blocking lanes of traffic.
The Sonoma County coroner was notified, indicating at least one fatality. Another person was transported to a nearby hospital with major injuries. The identities of the victims were not immediately released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the CHP.
