Two people were injured after a two-vehicle collision involving a suspected DUI driver in Rancho Mirage, Riverside County, on Friday night, January 23, 2026.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, the crash was reported shortly after 9:30 p.m. at Bob Hope Drive and Highway 111.
Deputies arrived to find two vehicles with damage at the scene. The driver and a passenger from one of the vehicles were transported to a hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities identified the suspect driver as a 61-year-old Cathedral City man, who was taken into custody at the scene. He was later booked into the Benoit Detention Center on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The crash remains under investigation, and no additional details were immediately available.
