One person was killed, and three others were injured after a high-speed rear-end collision involving a car and a Foothill Transit bus in Pomona on Tuesday evening, January 21, 2025.
According to the Pomona Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 9:52 p.m. at the West Monterey Avenue and North Garey Avenue intersection. Reports indicate that a silver four-door sedan, traveling at a high speed, rear-ended the bus, which was stopped at a red light on its way to the Foothill Transit Center.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department transported three bus passengers to local hospitals with minor injuries. At least one person was reportedly killed.
The intersection was temporarily closed as authorities conducted their investigation into the crash.
Officials are urging anyone with information to come forward.
