A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash late Monday night at the intersection of W. 111th Place and S. Olive Street in South Los Angeles on January 19, 2026.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were called to the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood around 10:15 p.m. after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Olive Street while the victim was crossing the roadway. Los Angeles City Fire paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Police said the driver did not stop after the collision and fled the area in an unknown direction. Authorities have not released a description of the vehicle or the victim’s identity.
The investigation is ongoing.
