[01-17-2026] Tehama County, CA – Driver Killed in Side-by-Side Crash Near Jellys Ferry Road in Red Bluff

A male driver was killed following a crash involving a side-by-side vehicle on a private dirt road near Jellys Ferry Road in Red Bluff on Saturday night, January 17, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol Red Bluff Area, the crash was reported at approximately 10:17 p.m. and involved a 2019 Kawasaki side-by-side driven by an unidentified adult male. Two unidentified male teenagers were passengers in the vehicle. 

Authorities said the driver suffered fatal injuries. One of the teenage passengers was transported to Saint Elizabeth Hospital with suspected moderate injuries.

CHP stated that alcohol is being investigated as a possible factor in the crash. The identities of all three individuals have not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
