[01-14-2026] Glenn County, CA – Moped Rider Killed in Crash with Pickup Truck at West Sycamore and North Culver Streets in Willows

A tragic crash claimed the life of a moped rider in Willows, Glenn County, on Wednesday afternoon, January 14, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just after 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Sycamore and North Culver Streets. 

Officers reported that 74-year-old Elton G., driving a pickup truck, pulled out from a stop sign and struck a moped ridden by 65-year-old Daniel P. The moped rider was knocked to the ground, suffering major injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The CHP stated that the investigation is ongoing, but alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
