[01-12-2026] Man Killed, 15-Year-Old Injured in Crash Between Sedan and Pickup Truck in Apple Valley-1.webpA man died, and a 15-year-old girl was injured in a crash between a sedan and a pickup truck in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, on Monday afternoon, January 12, 2026.

The collision occurred around 4:35 p.m. at the intersection of Waalew Road and Corwin Road. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies received a report of a major traffic collision involving a truck and a sedan.

A 2016 Honda Civic, driven by 27-year-old Keith M., was making a left turn from westbound Waalew Road to southbound Corwin Road. A 15-year-old girl was riding as a passenger in the car. At the same time, a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, driven by a 23-year-old Apple Valley man, was traveling north on Corwin Road.

The Honda turned into the Chevy’s lane of travel, causing the two vehicles to collide in the intersection. Both Keith and his passenger were taken to a hospital, where Keith later died from his injuries. The girl’s condition was not updated.

The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, but intoxication is not suspected as a factor.

The incident remains under investigation.
