A man riding an e-bike was seriously injured in a traffic collision in Hermosa Beach on Monday night, January 12, 2026.
According to the Hermosa Beach Police Department, the crash occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway near the 1800 block.
Officers arrived to find a man in his 50s suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was reported to be in serious condition.
Police said their investigation determined the collision happened when a driver swerved into the center lane to avoid stopped traffic and struck the e-bike rider.
Authorities stated that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Pacific Coast Highway was expected to remain closed for several hours as officers continued working in the area.
