[01-07-2026] Riverside County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Collision at Gardner Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard in Woodcrest

A motorcyclist was killed after a collision in Woodcrest, Riverside County, on Wednesday evening, January 7, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just after 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of Gardner Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard.

Authorities said the motorcyclist was traveling through the intersection when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle. The exact circumstances leading up to the collision were not immediately clear. 

The rider was thrown onto the roadway, where bystanders rendered aid until Riverside County sheriff’s deputies and fire department paramedics arrived and began resuscitative efforts.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene approximately 15 minutes later. No other injuries were reported. CHP said there was no immediate information available regarding the status of the other driver involved.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
