[01-05-2026] Semi-Truck Overturns on Southbound Interstate 15 Near Cajon Pass, Triggering SigAlert.webpA semi-truck overturned on southbound Interstate 15 near the Cajon Pass in San Bernardino County, prompting lane closures and a prolonged SigAlert on Monday, January 5, 2026. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 10:00 a.m. on the southbound I-15 just north of State Route 138. 

All southbound lanes were initially closed, though one lane reopened shortly after 11:00 a.m. CHP said that by 1:00 p.m., lanes one and two were open while lanes three and four remained closed. As of 2:40 p.m., only lane four was still blocked. A SigAlert was issued just before 10:30 a.m. and remained in effect as of 4:20 p.m.

Authorities said at least one other vehicle was involved in the crash. Traffic was backed up into the high desert for much of the day, and no immediate information regarding injuries was available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
