[01-03-2026] Nevada County, CA – Driver Arrested After DUI-Related Rollover Crash on Combie Road at Cascade Crossing Road

A driver was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run after causing a rollover crash in Nevada County on Saturday night, January 3, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers and fire personnel responded to the crash around 8:40 p.m. on Combie Road at the intersection of Cascade Crossing Road.

Upon arrival, they spoke with the passenger, who informed them that the driver had fled the scene. While medical personnel evaluated the passenger, CHP officers, with assistance from the Nevada County Sheriff and CHP Air Operations, began searching for the driver.

Officers eventually located the driver and determined that they were under the influence. The driver was arrested for hit-and-run and DUI, causing injuries, and was booked into the Nevada County Jail.

The status of the passenger was not immediately released.
