A 60-year-old Banning man was fatally struck by a vehicle near Malki Avenue in Cabazon, Riverside County, early Thursday morning, January 2, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 5:40 a.m. when the man was walking on the roadway and was struck by another Banning resident driving a vehicle.
Authorities confirmed that drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash, and no arrests have been made.
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the victim. The investigation is ongoing, and no additional details are available at this time.
