A bicyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle near Highway 111 and Frank Sinatra Drive in Rancho Mirage on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2025.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to reports of a major injury collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist shortly after 10:00 a.m.
Emergency crews found a man on the ground and attempted life-saving measures. Paramedics took over but were unable to revive him. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene, cooperating with authorities.
The incident is under investigation, and no further details have been released.
